Poverty Solutions at the University of Michigan is a multidisciplinary initiative to inform, seek out, and test new strategies for preventing and alleviating poverty. It combines the principles that attracted many of our students, faculty and staff to the University of Michigan. These are bedrock principles that we pursue with the full weight of our considerable intellectual power: That we serve the public. That no challenge is too big or too complex. That great universities tackle and aim to solve great problems.
Poverty Solutions will include faculty from many schools and colleges, build upon our strong community partnerships, and provide new engaged learning opportunities for our students.
