The President’s Advisory Committee on Public Health was charged in April of 2020 by President Schlissel to research, analyze and make recommendations in a number of areas relevant to a public health informed AY 2020-21. The Committee worked intensively from April through June of 2020 and the presentations, reports and summaries below comprise the major materials of the committee.

In his transmittal memo, chair of the committee Frederick D. Bowman, Professor of Biostatistics and Dean of the School of Public Health, notes that the materials were preliminary and advisory to decision making by the university at that point in time, were one of many sources of expert input, and “…should be considered as only one part of a dynamic process of exchange, discussion and consultation with University leadership that for many of us has continued since May.”
