President's Africa Advisory Committee (PAAC)

Charge to the Committee

The PAAC is charged to:
- Facilitate connections among those engaged in the president's African initiatives and among University faculty, units and programs active in Africa
- Help promote the University's work in Africa and assist in identifying possible resources to sustain the initiatives and/or subsequent activities beyond initial funding provided by the University
- Identify and advise on potential synergies relevant to our engagement with Africa
- Advise the President on actions that might be taken to leverage institutional opportunities for engagement in Africa
- Upon request, advise the Office of the President on Africa-related issues
- Advise on recommendations emerging from the University's reaccreditation self-study on internationalization in terms of application in Africa.
